Views from the Scuderie Quirinale

Posted on Oct 6, 2008 | 0 comments

I just got home from seeing the new Bellini exhibit at the Scuderie Quirinale, which were once the Papal Stables. It’s a fantastic space for seeing exhibits in Rome (probably my favorite) and my friends and I were in for a treat when we finished. These amazing views were captured in the exit stairwell, which showcases a fantastic panorama of the city. It was fairly impossible to capture it all in clear detail through the glass (and my novice abilities don’t help), but I loved the contrast of the sky against the blackened city in the first one and the glow of the Vittoriano to the left in the second one. The Vittoriano is in the noisy Piazza Venezia, but we all joked that it seemed so calm and serene from above. Everyone was snapping away with their camera phones but luckily I had my normal camera handy so I can share with you.

And by the way, Bellini was great too, I would definitely recommend a visit.
