Libri at the American Academy

Posted on Nov 15, 2008 | 4 comments

Books (libri) in the library at the American Academy in Rome. I just got a quick visit, but I wish I could have stayed there for hours. One of the texts I saw on the shelves was Apuelius’ classic “The Golden Ass,” which you can also read online (though nothing beats an actual book in hand, in my opinion).

  1. You have amazing photos on this blog! Some of them really caught my eye! The light is beautiful!!!
Thank you for the nice comments.

  2. Thank you so much! I take that as a high compliment, as your photos are incredible.

  3. I’m jealous that you got to browse the shelves there! I would LOVE that opportunity.

  4. I know, I was so excited! Some fellows have told me that if you have an American passport you are allowed to go in, but I’m not so sure about that. I’ll have to investigate.
