Cimitero Verano

Posted on Dec 14, 2008 | 6 comments

I got to San Lorenzo a little early last night so I could take some photos. These are the gates of the Cimitero Verano, a large cemetery founded in the 19th century. I haven’t been inside, though it is open the public, but you can see some of the graves here. I even found a site where you can look up famous burial sites, who knew? Later I’ll be posting shots of the sculpture that decorate the gates.
