Fashionable Nuns at De Ritis

Now here is something unique to Rome. On via dei Cestari, near the Pantheon, is De Ritis, which sells ecclesiastical clothing. I found a cool New York Times article from 1992 that explains a bit about the history of this street and why so many stores that sell clerical outfits are located here. You can also see other photos of the window displays on Flikr.

Here are two shots of the same window. The second one is cropped and I darkened the window display in Photoshop, giving it what I think it a kind of spooky, vintage feel.
