38 Leopardo by Jessica Harris – ‘Fenech 5’ Fashion Show, Part I

Posted on Feb 2, 2009 | 5 comments

Sunday night I had the opportunity to go backstage and document my friend Jessica Harris‘ fashion presentation at Room 26 in EUR. Jessica and I have known each other way back from our study abroad days and reconnected when I moved here. She’s a amazingly talented designer with her own store in Trastevere (which I suggest you visit!) and her Fall/Winter 2009 collection was inspired by the 70s actress Edwige Fenech. Fenech was known for her sexy, erotic comedies and Jessica really captured that feel with her new looks. I had a great time hanging out backstage and catching all the action. The models were all gorgeous and very sweet. The hair and makeup team did a great job as well. You should check out lead makeup artist Amy Janisse‘s website, she does great work. These first shots capture backstage preparations, from hair and makeup to model fittings. The top picture shows Jessica getting her makeup done (the designer needs to look good too!). Shots of the actual show to follow….

Update: I’m happy to have anyone use the photos to publicize Jessica’s work, but if you are downloading the photos from the site, please just send me an email to let me know where they are appearing so I can make note of it and be sure I’m credited. Thanks!

  3. Nice series of shots. I’m not much into fashion, but can see it must have been a lot of fun.

  4. Nonna – Yes, she was very happy with the way it turned out I think.

Honza – Thanks! I’ve edited some shots of the show, just need to get them up, which will probably be this afternoon.

Clueless – Yeah it was a nice change from what I usually shoot and definitely a lot of fun!

  5. I like seeing behind the scene photos.

Alas there will be no shopping until my $$$ situation improves.

I hoping there is an improvement before Spring. I have my eye on a few things. 🙂
