Beauty in a Can

Even the trash cans look good in Rome. Taken on via Nazionale (I think the people at the bus stop thought I was insane).

  1. No way! Back on Sunday I actually stopped my girlfriend——we were on Via Panisperna——so I could hop back and look at the same Rione name on the trash can. Nice!

  2. Great minds think alike! Hope you can make it to the show on Friday!

  3. There is beauty everywhere in Italy even in a trash can:)

  4. A few years ago, I snapped several photos of an equally appealing Roman trash can. A bemused Italian pulled me aside and in English explained, “Dat iz a trashuh-cannuh” like I was a complete and total idiot.

The photo of the espresso looks transforming!

    I like your site!

  5. Beauty is in the eye of the artist. I too thought the trash cans in Rome were quite pretty…as pretty as a trash can is to be. much nicer than the plastic bags on a hoop in Paris.

  6. Haha Marco that’s a funny story! I’m surprised no one did that to me. Glad you like the site and thanks for leaving your feedback.

Dusty – Very true, I think anything can be beautiful or interesting depending on how you look at it. There are some uglier looking trash cans in Rome, but Italians do love design, so it’s no surprise to see something like this here.
