Attack of the Easter Lambs

Posted on Mar 28, 2009 | 7 comments

I stole this photo idea from my colleague P, who took her own shot of this last week. Since Easter is right around the corner, all the pastry shops have come out in full force with their Easter finest. Nothing, however, beats these marzipan (I think) lambs in the window the Dagnino in the Galleria Esedra. Dagnino is a Sicilian pastry shop and nobody knows extravagant holiday displays like the Sicilians. However, I’ve got to say, even though I’m sure they’re delicious, the lambs looks a little demented, no? Killer marzipan lambs on the attack!

  1. Looks like Marzipan alright. Lipstick could have been a little more delicately applied 🙂

  2. You’re right, I would be a bit afraid to take a bite of this lamb for fear of getting bitten myself 🙂 But a really well done close-up btw.

  3. Snapshutter – Haha, yeah not so good with the lipstick application, though to be fair there were tons of them and this one was particularly haphazard.

Christopher -It does kind of look like it would bite off your hand. Thanks for the compliment on the photo. The 50 mm I have it really great for getting a shallow depth of field.

  4. I must to comment your “dement lamb”! I loved your own comment! Really, it seems a “serial lamb killer”!

  5. Ciao Marie! Grazie for you comment. “Serial killer lamb”….I love it!

  6. Hi Amy, I hadn’t seen these blog before but it’s great! This isn’t really at cake, but I’ll give it a try!
