How to Help Abruzzo Earthquake Victims

Posted on Apr 8, 2009 | 4 comments

Apartment in Piazza San Cosimato in Trastevere.

I was in Venice yesterday, so didn’t feel the aftershocks of the earthquake, but I know many did. Here are some more ways that you can help.

If you live in the US and would like to donate, check out the NIAF relief fund.

If you live in Rome, there are a number of centers where you can donate blankets, clothing, as well as non-perishable food items to help people who have lost everything:

ROMA Centro raccolta “Fare ambiente”, Roma, Via Nazionale, 243, tel. 06 48029924

ROMA Altro centro raccolta c/o RADIO GLOBO, via Farfa 11 (eur-laurentina) (Monday – Friday, 9 am to 6 pm)

There is also a shortage of blood donors, especially for Type O negative. To donate blood please call 06 491340

Remember….every little bit helps!
