Thursday night I attended the closing party for Vinyl Factory at Rising Love. Read my post from the opening last month for a refresher on the event. Besides live painting by some of the artists in the exhibit, the Australian artist Jeremyville was on hand to do a painting demo with Davide Vecchiato. Besides the action in front, this time I actually went “behind the scenes” where all the stencil and spray painting action was happening to document that taking place as well. I’m posting some before and after shots of the pieces to give you an idea of where they come from, as it’s rare to get to see an artist at work. Check out much more on the Flickr gallery. Thank you to the artists for bringing me back stage and not being annoyed by all my picture taking! And a special thanks to [X] for giving me one of the vinyls you made.
If you haven’t checked out the exhibit yet, there’s still time to head over the MondoPop before it closes next weekend.
