Lavender Man

Posted on Jul 23, 2009 | 9 comments

On Saturday after the first leg of the Festa dei Noantri procession had finished, Trastevere was still in full gear with the locals out in full force and the band playing. As we walked down the street the fragrant odor of lavender filled the air and I turned to find this little stand selling sachets of fresh lavender. The elderly man putting the packets together was so cute that all my friends said I had to take a photo. I was a bit hesitant at first, but when I started he just waved and smiled.
