Leaf Lace

Posted on Oct 25, 2009 | 4 comments

As I walked down via delle Magnolie toward the neon lights last night, I was struck by the beautiful patterns that the trees were making on the pavement, so like a nut I spent a good while taking photographs of what I’ve dubbed “leaf lace.” It was extremely difficult to get a focus on the camera, but I’m actually quite excited about this new and interesting thing I’d never noticed before. It really was one of those moments when I thought about how much photography has made me appreciate more the beauty of details all around me, so I thought I’d share that with you.

  1. These are very cool photos.

I find since moving here I am much more aware of my surroundings. In L.A. I drove everywhere and was on auto pilot.

(okay one reason I pay attention could be so I don't get run over by a motorino)

  2. Love these shots! You have a great eye really.

Love coming to your site, it inspires me to take better fotos.

  3. If I had taken that photo, I would have titled it "Leif's lace."

  4. These are really beautiful photos..I think I'll take a closer look at night reflections from now on!
