G. Paganini

Posted on Nov 5, 2009 | 4 comments

I’ve always been fascinated a bit by this store, which sits on the corner of via Aracoeli and via delle Botteghe Oscure. G. Paganini is an enormous fabric store that takes up half the block. I’ve never been inside, but you can’t help staring at the window displays with yards of fabric and linens all colorfully arranged. I like this photo because it was just getting to be the end of the work day and traffic was starting up; people were out and scurrying home. It’s quite a busy intersection so it actually took me awhile to get something where the entire scene was blocked up by cars. Even with photography, everything is smoke and mirrors….the story you want to tell depends all on the moment you chose to click the shutter.
