Mi Manifesto
It was kind of fitting that my last day in town for a few weeks was greeted by yet another protest, which forced me to walk about 20 minutes to get to work. There were a bunch of protests in Rome last week for various causes, this yet another labor protest. Could there be a wave of change in Italy? With the huge anti-Berlusconi “No BDay” protests around the country and him being assaulted on his home turf of Milan, it seems like the seeds of discontent are starting to surface.
I managed to catch two protests when I was in Rome over Thanksgiving–one was a labor protest, the other one was a women's rights thing.
