Here’s a little preview of my show that’s opening tonight, Street: Walls Experience. This stencil by Hogre is found on the underpass leading from Porta Maggiore to San Lorenzo. It was impossible not to have Hogre in the show, his stencils can literally be found everywhere in the city and are probably some of the most familiar to people in the city. His pieces often have a lot of humor and irony to them. This one in particular is a bit more historical, as the bottle in the guy’s hand is labeled 1943, the year the neighborhood of San Lorenzo was bombed by Allied Forces during WWII.

  1. Oh wow, I love that image! I actually didn't know that fact about 1943; it definitely added more 'food for thought' as I look at the stencil.

    Thanks for the share!
