iPhone Photo of the Week

Posted on Apr 1, 2010 | 6 comments

Just like everyone else, I recently got an iPhone and thought it would be fun to do a weekly shot from the camera, dubbed the “iPhone Photo of the Week.” That means that every Thursday I’ll be posting a photo taken with my iPhone. I’ve especially had fun experimenting with the SuperCamera application and, in particular, the Lomo filters. This shot of Porta Maggiore is the innaugural photo, though this pic came in close second. By the way, the monument to the left is the Baker’s Tomb.

  1. That is a very interesting picture. Love the colour.

  2. Wow! I didn't know my iphone would do that. The only thing better than your photo, would be for you to tell us how to use the app.

  3. Thanks Bill!

Donna – This is just one of the Lomo filters you can select when using the app. It's pretty easy to use, just search SuperCamera in the app store.

  4. I can't believe this is from a phone!

Sigh. I need a new phone and was debating between the Blackberry or the iPhone. I love my Macbook so I'm leaning toward the iPhone even though it's a lot more expensive.

  5. Sweet! Is it the 3Gs? I've actually been eying the Google Nexus One. I used to be an iPhone user but then switched over to Nokia (I'm a really big phone-geek).

Anyhow- mad props to be so on top of your posting! I need to get my blogging butt in shape and post more regularly =)

  6. NYC – Yeah having a MAC makes it a big help, it's also easier to get serviced. I have a blackberry that broke and was told there's no centro assistenza here, so I was out of luck. Meanwhile, there are lots of places you can go to get the iphone repaired if need be.

Duncan – Yes, it is the 3G (even though I always keep that option turned off bc it sucks the battery life. And thanks for the compliments about posting! It's not always easy to get to it, but I try my best!
