Grattachecche Part 2
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, but the consistent, above 100 degree temperatures have killed motivation to walk around in the sun and get completely burnt! I did, however, drag myself out around 6 pm today to hunt down some more Invaders people told me about (thank you everyone!) and, as a treat, got myself a strawberry and lemon grattachecche as a treat. Since I wrote about it a few weeks ago, I thought you’d enjoy seeing one up close and personal. I can’t wait to go on vacation in a few weeks and get in some good beach time to escape the heat. Where are you going on vacation?

That looks sooo good and the color just pops
Lovely! I love how it depicts summer dusk.
Because of your photo, I'll visit the local "grattacecche" with the kids later.
Ok, now I REALLY want a grattachecca! And it's only 7:30am…
Barefoot Lady – Let me know how it was! Mine was actually just ok, the ice tasted a bit funny
Elizabeth – Grattachecca has no hour….it's a round the clock treat!
That looks so refreshing!!! I was in Rome a couple weeks ago for 4 days and the heat was just too much….I was glad to be back in Calabria where the cool breeze every so often helps you forget how hot it really is!
Stay cool!! Where are you going for the beach?
Yummy…. and I suddenly got very thirsty…..
That does look delicious!! Sorry it wasn't delish. I'm craving a good sorbet or something, as we've had very hot temps here, too.
Lulu – I'll be going to Ponza.
It makes you want to grab that delicious looking drink before it slips off such an oblique surface.
A very pretty scene.
