La Sapienza

Posted on Jul 10, 2010 | 3 comments

The oldest of Rome’s universities, La Sapienza is located not far from San Lorenzo and if the architecture looks like what you’d see in EUR, it’s no coincidence, as one of the main city planners of EUR, Marcello Piacentini, worked on this project a few years earlier. I love the Orwellian nature of this building as it looms large in the darkness.

Like the shadow of Minerva projected on the right!
