C215 in San Lorenzo
I walked down this street about 3 times last weekend and didn’t see this stencil, so thanks to Omino71 for the heads up. The stencil was done while C215 was in town this spring for Outdoor. Why is it that someone is still sticking flyers in a post box that clearly is not in use anymore? While photographing this I had a nice talk with the guy who owns the frame shop across the street. He was very curious to know how it was done and why I was there photographing it. It’s always fun to meet random people on the street like that and have an interesting conversation about art. I would have loved to see the look on the posts man's shocked face if it was still in use and they opened to find a face looking back at them.
I don't know C215 but has he ever been in Holland? The style really reminds me of something I've seen done over here but it's most likely just similar.
Invader – Yes, he most definitely has been in Holland! At the very least Amsterdam, which you can see here: http://crackforyoureyes.com/categories/new-work/item/796-surprise-visit-from-c215. He travels alot and his style is distinct, so there's a good chance that what you saw was his.
