Long Walk Home

Posted on Sep 6, 2010 | 3 comments

Today I walked along the long expanse of Termini Station on via Giolitti. As you go further back you see an area mostly forgotten, and definitely overrun with urban decay. Here I captured a girl walking home, probably toward San Lorenzo, an area easily accessible from here. These train tracks are a tiny local train that passes through Pigneto, Centocelle, and eventually, Giardinetti.

  1. Wonderful capture!

  2. Your photo captures the loneliness one can feel while walking in this strange area. Yet there are compensations, among them Bernini's 17th-century Church of Santa Bibiana, taken up by Dianne as part of our August 5 post, "5 More Things to Do within 200 Meters of Stazione Termini," on the blog at http://www.romethesecondtime.com

  3. I posted a similar photo of this place a few days ago, you can see it HERE

Ciao Jessica, will be dropping in @ Via Baccina next week! 🙂
