Urban Texture

Posted on Oct 19, 2010 | 2 comments

The fabric of the city can yield such interesting colors, shapes, and textures.  The crackling, chipping paint, the pealing stickers, all enhanced by a late afternoon light.  It’s no wonder that the electric and gas boxes that litter the city are a favorite spot for street artists.  They’re normally covered with stickers advertising moving vans or old notices for vacant apartments.  This one was painted a lovely yellow color, which makes a nice change from the dull metal one normally sees.
