New Shepherds

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. While I’m at home surrounded by the Massachusetts snow, I wanted to post this image that I took in Mandrione. It was for a project that didn’t work out, but I shot this envisioning as a sort of modern pastoral scene. It’s incredible how much green space that is there, just going to waste. I shot this through fencing that was blocking off access, but it would be such a great piece of land, if only someone took care of it. I love walking back there, as you feel like you stepped back in time and there are all sorts of fascinating oddities to be discovered.

  1. This is happening in Liguria too, lots of beautiful land going to waste – no one wants to work it anymore. Great one Jessica, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
