I must say that I feel extremely lucky to have such talented friends in my life and Jessica Harris, whom I’ve written before about in the blog, is one such friend. Jessica presented her new Fall/Winter 2011 collection on Friday night at the Pio Monti Gallery in Piazza Mattei. The presentation was part of a larger event called A.I Artisinal Intelligence, which is a project backed by Roma Altamode to promote young designers in the city. Jessica’s presentation, entitled Sie.Obzone , combined her collection with the fashion photography of Berlin photographer Bonnie Strange, and interior designer Elena Boni. The showroom is open until July 11, but the night of the opening there was a live fashion shooting with photographer Susi Belianska, which is what I’ve captured. Above are the black and white “behind the scenes” images and below are some color shots, as I loved how the colors of Jessica’s designs really popped. The models were fantastic and I was impressed with how focused they remained with all the people in the gallery. Susi provided them with wonderful direction and I’m sure her final images will be really spectacular. The opening was crawling with photographers, journalists, and bloggers, making it a huge success so congratulations to all involved and here’s hoping that A.I will continue on it’s mission to promote the work of up and coming designers in the city.
