Glass Door

Posted on Nov 6, 2011 | 0 comments

When walking around I’m always looking for small little details that catch my eye and I’m especially attracted to doorways and other architectural elements that I can take photographic details of and create my own pattern.  This interesting metal and glass doorway in Pigneto was perfect, as the light reflected off the raised glass and the old, rusting ironwork creates a linear pattern.  I think part of what fascinates me is that you just don’t find this sort of detail in new construction, where everything is all prefabricated.  Luckily so many of the buildings here in Rome still have this sort of detailing so I should never run out of things to look for!
