Take Me Anywhere: Behind the Scenes with Alice Pasquini
Ever wanted to know what goes into the making of an exhibition? The nice thing about working closely with an artist is that you can often get behind the scenes of the work in progress. Here are some shots taken as Alice Pasquini worked on her new solo show, Take Me Anywhere, which opened at Galleria Varsi on November 28 (see images from opening night here). The slideshow shows the progression from studio to gallery, as about 30 new works were produced for the exhibition. The show runs through January 23 and there is also a catalog available online which features several of my photographs as well. The idea behind the exhibition is to show the power of the sketch as it involves Alice’s work. Her drawings covered everything from a notebook to sheet music to large assemblages of wood and metal.
